Mining & Exploration

Project

Montero Mining & Exploration is focused primarily on the exploration, discovery and development of mineral resources in Africa to create value for our shareholders and benefit all stakeholders. The company has a Rare Earth Element and a Phosphate project in geographically prospective and under-explored regions in Tanzania and South Africa, respectively.

The Company has recently embarked on a battery metals strategy and is actively engaged in the identification, acquisition, evaluation and exploration of lithium and cobalt mineral properties in Namibia, the DRC and Zambia.

The Soris Lithium Project (Namibia) - Located in central Namibia. The LCT pegmatites contain elevated values of lithium as spodumene with tantalum and tin. The Soris pegmatites were previously mined on a small scale for tin and tantalum (Diehl, 1992). The pegmatite has not previously been mined or systematically sampled or assayed for lithium. Montero has an option to acquire an immediate 80% interest in the Project whereby upon transfer of ownership will commit to spending C$1 million and completing a feasibility study within 3 years of transfer of the mining rights.

The Wigu Hill Rare Earth Project (Tanzania) - Montero's has an 82% interest in the Wigu Hill Property. Sampling, trenching and drilling has revealed high REE grades and metallurgically attractive ore for mineral processing. The strategy is to further explore and develop property with further investment via joint venture funding.

Montero also holds a 74% interest in a rock phosphate property in the Saldanha Bay area of South Africa. The Duyker Eiland property is exposed at surface and is 30km from the Saldanha Bay deep water port.

Montero aims to build a portfolio of value add mineral projects through application, exploration and acquisition and potentially bring such projects to production through joint venture or outright sale. Montero intends to operate in an environmentally and socially responsible manner while adding value to all our stakeholders and shareholders. We are respectful of local communities in which we operate.
