Grant Pierce - Country Manager - Tanzania

Grant is a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience in both open-pit and underground mining. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree from the Ballarat College of Advanced Education and a Diploma of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. Previous experience includes roles as Operations Manager for Resolute Mining Ltd.’s Golden Pride Project, the first major gold mine in Tanzania; Executive General Manager for Barrick Gold Corporation in Tanzania; Country Manager for Africo Resources Ltd. in the Democratic Republic of Congo, General Manager of Albidon Ltd.’s Munali Nickel Mine and more recently, General Manager Operations for Perseus Mining Ltd. in Ghana bringing the new Edikan Gold mine into production.

Michael Evans - Project Manager - Wigu Hill, Tanzania

Mike has an MSc in Geology from Natal University, South Africa. He has over 38 years experience as a geologist including 26 years working with Phelps Dodge Corporation. Mike has worked in over 15 African countries where he has directed mineral target generation and on-site evaluation of properties. This included the establishment of exploration operations and the development of major exploration programs, as well as the management of feasibility studies on two major projects. Mike is a Qualified Person.

Baldwin Lema - Director (Montero Resources) and Logistics Manager, Tanzania

Baldwin has over 30 years experience in Business Management & Administration. He graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with BA in Economics and a Masters degree in Economic Policy & Planning from the  Institute of Social Studies, The Netherlands. Mr. Lema has worked with local and international companies in Tanzania including: Planning Manager with the National Bank of Commerce and Finance/Admin Manager with Tancan Mining Company. He has worked on a consulting basis with exploration and drilling companies such as Newmont Mining & Exploration, Resource Drilling Ltd, Twigg Gold Ltd and Spectral Geophysics Ltd.

Julius J Namfua - Senior Geologist, Tanzania

Julius has a B.Sc. degree in Geology with honours from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He worked as a senior geologist with Mantra Tanzania Ltd, subsidiary of Mantra Resources, Australian based company, African mining consultants and as also as a project geologist with Barrick Exploration Africa Ltd. 

Nassor. S. Said - Finance and Accounting Manager, Tanzania

Nassor obtained a Bachelors (B.COM-Accounting) from the University of Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania and a Masters (MBA-Finance) degree from the University of Wales, institute Cardiff through London School of Commerce College in London, UK. Nassor has years of experience working in Mining and construction industry including Golden Pride Ltd. (in their subsidiary, Resolute Tanzania Ltd), and Shinryo Middle East Corporation (Japanese construction company in Dubai).
